BELIEVE IN YOURSELF BEFORE YOU BELIEVE IN THE DREAM

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF BEFORE YOU BELIEVE IN THE DREAM

Dreams.

What are they?

And why do we have them?

I’m talking beyond the ones you have when you go to sleep.

I’m talking about the ones that come to you during the day.

A daydream.

You know them. They appear out of nowhere and they keep coming back to you.

When I take my memory back to that little introverted girl on Gain St, I see myself constantly daydreaming.

Telling my family all of these cool things I wanted to create.

I was lucky to have a family that supported me with whatever I wanted to do.

They didn’t always understand what I wanted to do, but they always told me “Well Mija, do what you gotta do.”

As I grew older, my mind and ideas grew as well.

I was a girl with a mind full of thoughts.

Big ideas that didn’t make sense or have a plan..

But they believed in me before they believed in the idea.

That changed my life forever. “BELIEVE IN YOURSELF BEFORE YOU BELIEVE IN THE DREAM.”

And it was that mindset that helped create Viva La Bonita, a cyber place where current and next-gen Bonitas, can always look back and hopefully look at this archival piece and say “damn that’s cool, a space full of girls who made their dream come true.”

Las Bonitas son mis Mijas.

We created this community and our goal is to never let y’all forget that your dreams are possible because they’re YOUR dreams.

That’s why the Dream Big Mija Collection is so important to us as a brand.

It’s a reminder to not only dream big, but to show you that if you don’t have the support at home, VLB is here to show you “It’s Possible!”

And with that, I want to leave you with this.

Dream big and learn how to navigate your own journey.

Learn to control your narrative.

Sometimes dreams are measured by careers and materialist things, but don’t forget your biggest dream: YOURSELF.

Dream up the best version of yourself.

You are your biggest and most important dream, Mija.
