Hey there, amiga!! How are you doing? How has your week been? I hope you're hanging in there and taking care of yourself. Remember to hydrate!

We have some exciting things going down this week at the VLB HQ!! We are getting ready for some new drops (more of that coming soon...) and prepping for a FULL restock of one of our all-time BONITA favorites: the infamous “Allergic To Pendejadas” collection!! (Our girl, Key, photographed all the pieces out in Brooklyn and Queens for this relaunch. Peep the campaign below!!)

As a brand and a community whose mission is focused on the empowerment of women to love their best (and worst) selves, this collection speaks to us on that deep, deep level. Growing pains are a part of life, so when the collection was created, Viva La Bonita wanted to create something that would empower other women to embrace their inner BONITA and live life on their own terms. You’re a baddie, B, and we know it.

Established by Viva La Bonita in 2017, the phrase "Allergic to Pendejadas" has been a personal mantra of VLB for almost ten years. It might be one of the reasons you heard of VLB in the first place!! “Allergic to Penedejadas” means refusing to tolerate ANY kind of bullsh*t. It means standing up for yourself, and your values, even when it's the most difficult thing to do…

But beyond just the clothes themselves, what we love about the "Allergic to Pendejadas" collection is the sense of community it creates. When you wear one of these pieces, you are part of a movement of women who refuse to settle for anything less than the best. You're saying NO to Pendejadas and YES to self-love and self-respect.

So if you're feeling like you could use a little extra motivation, or a gentle reminder in your life right now, check out VLB’s iconic "Allergic to Pendejadas" collection with a full restock this Thursday, March 9 at 7PM PST on and the VLB App. It might just be the boost of confidence and self-love you need to take on the world.

How has the Allergic To Pendejadas collection affected you, Mija? Do you remember when you first saw or heard about it? Comment down below and tell us! We'd love to hear what you have to say and maybe it will be highlighted in our BONITA Spotlight in our emails!

  • I remember first seeing the collection on Pinterest and for the first time after moving to a predominantly white neighborhood that I felt someone related to me.
